English Realty Associates
is a family owned and operated business, and one of the first black-owned real estate offices in Bergen County.
The company was founded by Whittie English, alum member of the legendary Tuskegee Airmen. English went on to become not only a pioneer real estate developer, but also a philanthropic champion of minorities seeking opportunity and prosperity.
Today, English Realty Associates is helmed by the late Whittie English’s daughter, Joanne. English Realty Associates boasts an extensive, diverse portfolio representing clients from all walks of life, notably A-list celebrities such as Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, and Lenny Kravitz, to name a few.
Our Team
Joanne English-Rollieson
Has been with English Realty for 40 years. Joanne is now President & CEO, and a very aggressive Broker/Salesperson, always speedy and enthusiastic about bringing transactions to a fast close, which in turn is very beneficial to both buyers and sellers. Joanne is excited to be President & CEO, and is a very hard worker. Joanne has expertise in the marketing, management and development of residential and commercial real estate. She loves dealing with clients, and has tapped into the celebrity and sports markets. Joanne likes doing promotional parties and special events to cultivate and network within the industry, and has been quite successful in making the entertainment industry her niche market. Joanne is most respected for her belief in confidentiality when dealing with her celebrity clientele.
Marco Gaskin
Is the Vice President of the family Enterprises, which include English Realty Associates, English Manor Homes and English Enterprises. Modeling after his late grandfather, Whittie English, Marco received his carpenter certification from Bergen Technical School in Paramus, N. J.
He then immediately earned his New Jersey Real Estate License. He has also earned the title of "Notary Public" for New Jersey. Because of Marco's creative, handy and crafty skills, he was promoted to Property Manager, being responsible for management and maintenance of all properties, and as Construction Site Manager, he oversees the development of newly built and renovated properties.
Ronald H. Rollieson
Is the top real estate producer for English Realty and Executive Director of Sales, Training and Marketing. Ron has consistently been regarded as a high achiever since entering the real estate profession over 25 years ago. He has earned membership with the NJ Realtors® Circle of Excellence.
A native of Englewood and active in his community, he is the founder of "Knights of the Round Table," a network group of business professionals and co-founding board member of Argonne Park Tennis Club.
Ron's outstanding real estate knowledge, performance and professionalism throughout his career has resulted in hundreds of satisfied customers over the years.
Sanora Lee Gaskin
Recently joined English Realty as Office Manager but has served as the Director of Accounting for the family Enterprises (which include English Enterprises, English Manor Homes and English Realty Associates) for over a decade. Sanora draws on 25 years of real estate experience, both professionally and personally, to help her clients navigate the market and achieve their home ownership and investment goals.
Sanora began her career in commercial real estate management and accounting in 1996 and earned her Real Estate Salesperson’s license shortly after in 2001. She has been responsible for negotiating leases of commercial office and warehouse space and managing commercial and residential property portfolios totaling almost 2 million square feet. After years of processing and analyzing the financials of countless real estate transactions, Sanora is able to quickly identify opportunities for her clients. She is known throughout the industry for her extensive knowledge and her professionalism.
Sanora is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in New Jersey and has been certified as a Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource (SFR®) and a Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE®). Sanora is also a New Jersey Notary Public.
